What to expect from the program
The 2023-24 Women in Hire & Access mentoring program will focus on building confidence and cater for the individual needs of each participant. The program will run over 8 months and will consist of 5 face to face workshops and 2 x Zoom sessions, finishing with Networking for Success at HIRE24 in Sydney. All Mentees will be expected to attend face to face sessions in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. Mentor attendance is not compulsory but always welcome and appreciated. Sessions in other states will depend on applications numbers in these states. Each session will run for approximately 4 hours and Mentees will be encouraged to catch up with their Mentor either before of after these workshops.
Successful applicants will be notified in July. Mentors will be required to complete or have previously completed a DiSC profile. The results of this profile will be used in the matching process. Once matched, Mentees and Mentors will be required to attend a pre-program information session. As a Mentor, you will be there to share your industry-specific knowledge, experience and skills, provide guidance and support and help them achieve their goals. Mentors will need to commit approximately two hours per month in formal or informal catch-ups. It is important to remember that it will be up to the Mentee to lead the Mentor relationship and initiate contact.
