What to expect from the program

The Young Professionals Development Program is designed for the future leaders of the industry who are under 40 years old, it will focus on developing both personal and professional skills to help you pursue a successful career within our industry. The program will run over 8 months and will consist of 5 face to face workshops and 2 x Zoom sessions, finishing with Networking for Success at HIRE24. All mentees will be expected to attend face to face sessions in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. Sessions in other states will depend on applications numbers in these states. Each session will run for approximately 4 hours and you will be encouraged to catch up with your Mentor either before of after these workshops.

Successful applicants will be notified in July. Once accepted into the program you will be given a link to complete an Everything DiSC Assessment, the results of this profile will be used to match you with your mentor. This Mentor will be there to share their industry-specific knowledge, experience and skills, provide guidance and support and help you achieve your goals. It is important to remember that it will be up to you to lead the Mentor relationship and initiate contact.

Once matched, you will connect with your mentor and attend a cohort kick-off event. You’ll then need to commit approximately three hours per month.
  • Catch up with your mentor – formally and informally every month.
  • During the session, actively participate.
  • Post session, reflect on the session with your Mentor.

This is an exclusive program and places are limited. Due to this, a high level of commitment is expected from all participants. Lack of attendance may result in your place in the program being withdrawn.

In 2023/24 there will be a nominal cost of $250 (+gst) per mentee to cover our out of pocket cost for the Everything DiSC Assessment. If you already have a Everything DiSC Profile this costs is not applicable.

We are hoping to offer an online version for the course for participants in Western Australia, South Australia and other regional areas. Please indicate on the form below if you are located in these areas.
